Cake prices begin at $6.50 per serving and there is a 30 serving minimum on all cake orders. Pricing for tiered cakes is slightly higher due to construction materials and begin at $7.25 per serving. Sculpted and 3-D cake prices begin at $8.50 per serving. Cupcakes prices begin at $3.00 each and decorated sugar cookies begin at $2.50 each and there is a minimum of one dozen per order for each. All pricing is for vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream filling. If you would like alternate cake and/or icing selections the cost is an additional $0.25 per serving, per flavor. This is in no way a complete listing of factors or options available in determining the final cost of your cake. Time and design variations are the most costly factors in determining the final cost along with flavor selections and total guest count.
Consultations
Consultations are $25.00. Should you decide to book with Patty Cakes we will apply your payment to the balance of your cake order. Consultations are scheduled by appointment. Prior to scheduling your appointment, have an idea of the general styles, shapes and colors you are attracted to prior to our meeting. Consider a general budget prior to arriving. If budget is an issue please let me know. I do my best to work with all sorts of budgets! It's just helpful to know in advance what numbers you are comfortable with so your cake can be designed with that in mind. It really helps eliminate disappointment and frustration later in the process. Bring as much information about your event with you to your consultation as possible. Having an inspiration canvas to start with such as an invitation, color swatch, photos of your dress, flowers, Pinterest boards, or other cake photos really helps. Anything can be used as a starting point and provide inspiration for the cake of your dreams! Consultations are conducted for the happy couple plus one additional guest. I know cake tasting is the one wedding chore that you will surely get a lot of volunteers for, however too many opinions are distracting and ultimately complicate the process. Above all please remember to ENJOY the process and have fun.
*Wedding Cakes
I require a non-refundable retainer of $100.00 to reserve your wedding date. Payment in full is due two weeks before the wedding date.
*Celebration Cakes
Since each of my cakes are unique to each client, I am happy to design a themed cake for your special day. Please provide the date and time of your event, theme and/or color scheme for your celebration, number of guests, and preferred flavor selections. Prior to beginning the design process please consider a budget for your cake, as this is factored into the design process. If you have a photo of a design you would like, please provide it for specific pricing information. Once I receive your budget and requested information I will sketch and email a design for your consideration. If you have ideas in mind I would love to hear them to help create a wonderful cake for your event.
Celebration cake orders placed more than 30 days in advance of your event require a 50% retainer. Orders placed less than 30 days in advance require payment in full at time of order.
*Consultation Policy
Due to the fact that my hours are by appointment only, I generally allow for a window of 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment time before I consider the client a no show. Since I am a one person shop, I adhere very strictly to my schedule in order to accommodate my current orders as well as potential clients. It is the responsibility of the client to notify me if they need to cancel, reschedule, or change an appointment time. I require 24 hours notice for cancellations and rescheduling.
Baking for consultations is done specifically for each client. When appointments are missed, time, materials and ingredients are lost. Due to this, it is necessary that a re-appointment fee of $25.00 be paid prior to scheduling a new appointment. The re-appointment fee is separate from your initial appointment fee and any amounts due for your order.
